Restoring an archive-R archive is free to all without the purchase of additional licenses of archive-R
Scenario #1 – Restoring an archive-R archive from disc (CD, DVD, BluRay) to a second machine that does not have archive-R installed.
Answer – When you burned your archive-R archive to disc, archive-R included the files needed to extract the archive. Put disc #1 in your disc tray on the system you want to restore to and close it. archive-R will auto launch. If you have an archive on multiple discs, insert the next disc when prompted. When you are finished installing all the discs, archive-R will build your archive and launch the Restoration Module.
Scenario #2 – Restoring an archive-R archive from a HDD ( external FW, USB drives, etc ) on a second machine that does not have archive-R installed.
Answer – Install the archive-R.exe on the second system. This will install all the files needed to extract the archive. You do not need to activate archive-R in demo mode on this second system in order to run the restoration module. Once archive-R is installed, double click on the archive and the Restoration Module will launch.
The archive-R.exe file can be located on your C: Drive > Ocean Systems > archive-R
