HELP! Nothing happens when I click the “Register” button in ClearID. What do I do?

If you’ve just installed ClearID® for Adobe Photoshop and you’re having problems using or registering your product, try this:

  1. Close Photoshop
  2. Run Photoshop as an Administrator
    1. Right-click on the Photoshop shortcut and choose “Run as Administrator

When Photoshop re-opens, open and image and try ClearID® to make sure it’s working.

Why did this fix the issue?  I Can’t Run Photoshop As Administrator!

The issue isn’t with ClearID® or how ClearID® is installed; it is with Photoshop being installed a specific way and/or only for specific user accounts.  When this is the case, only the Admin level user accounts will be able to leverage all of Photoshop’s capabilities, specifically scripts and any actions containing scripts.

Solution: Do a complete uninstall of ClearID®, as well as Creative Cloud and Photoshop.  Re-install Creative Cloud and Photoshop, making sure it is installed across the entire system with all users having full access to it.  Finally, re-install ClearID®.

If this does not resolve the issue once Photoshop re-opens using Administrator privledges, Contact Support for further assistance.
