Tip on using QuickDME™ with a 4K/UHD monitor

For an optimal experience with QuickDME™ when using a 4K/UHD monitor we recommend changing Windows’ High DPI scaling behavior for AccessDME™ and QuickDownloader™.

As you may know, Windows 10 has significantly improved application scaling features in order to provide a more consistent user experience.

To Change High DPI Scaling Options:

Open the QuickDME folder on your Desktop:

Right-Click on the AccessDME icon, select Properties, then the Compatibility Tab:

On the Compatibility tab, click “Change high DPI settings”.  Next click on the “High DPI scaling override” checkbox and choose “System” from the drop-down menu:

Click “OK”.  Click “Apply”, then “OK” again.  Repeat this process for the QuickDownloader application as well.

While many features and windows can & do scale well without these settings, there are always mutliple variables when displaying an application on multiple monitors with different High DPI settings.  We’ve found these settings to provide the most consistent user experience.
